I’m not a Lash Kinda Girl... 😰

I have heard on so many instances this same phrase “I love the way they look, but girl I don’t know how to put them on!!”
Lashes are amongst one of the most nerve racking beauty products to learn how to do yourself. At least, that was my experience. When I first got into lashes, I would go to the big name makeup counters in the mall and pay close to $50.00 each time just to have them glue a strip on. I eventually move up and began paying monthly fees to have individual lashes placed each month which did a number on my pockets.
one day I got so fed up with paying others to do something that I knew I could learn if I just took the time. Just like applying mascara, foundation, or any other beauty product... it took a few times to gain my confidence.
I am a Lash and Lipgloss type of chick so I made it my business to understand the process and save money lol

If Applying Lashes is something that you may struggle with ... trust me I know all about it!! It took me a few times of messy glue, learning what worked and didn’t work for my eyes. So I wanted to share a few things I learned along the way. Maybe you will find a few tips that help you also.
again, I am also available for a Lash Talk and eager to help my babes learn more about Lashes.

Lash Tips

Take a deep breath girl... it’s just a Lash

Grab a pair of less expensive lashes or beginners friendly lash (recommend Date Nite or Any lashes from our natural occasions collections) Lash Glue, cosmetic scissors, tweezers or lash applicator and a beverage (you might get thirsty) lol

First thing you want to do is make sure everything is cleaned, even your hands!!! You will be touching your eye frequently and we don’t want bad  bacteria entering where it is not welcomed!

Now Grab 1 Lash and hold it up against one eye... lining it up as if you are applying it. This will give you an idea of how much you will need to trim off your lash, if any. (Do this for each eye)

Trim the excess length off of the lash (you are cutting from the inner corner depending on the style of lash, most lashes have a flare towards the end. Cutting the ends will most often mess the entire lash up bc that is where the actual style details are. (If you are unsure, feel free to reach out to me)

Now that you have cut to fit, now comes the fun part!! It’s Glue time!!! Take a small drop of glue and drag it along the base of the lash. If you are using glue that comes with a brush do the same.

So your glue is applied, now you want to wait 10-20 seconds before applying. I often blow on mine to get it to dry faster.

Ready to apply!! You may apply with your fingers or tweezers (applicator). Place the middle part of the lash against your natural lash line (hold for 5 seconds) then do the same for the outer corner and inner corner of the eye.

You will make mistakes, it’s ok! That’s the reason I told you to grab a drink, lol. You will get the hang of it in no time! You're going to be a lash pro!!
